Use olive oil for cooking, to make your food tasty and healthy

  • It is good for the stomach and its protective function has a beneficial effect on ulcers and gastritis. It activates the secretion of bile and pancreatic hormones much more naturally than drugs.
  • Olive oil offers protection against heart disease by controlling LDL (“bad”) cholesterol levels while raising HDL (“good”) cholesterol levels.
  • • It is a natural antioxidant that slows down the natural ageing process. The powerful antioxidants protect us from damage caused by free radical oxidation, which may accelerate the ageing process. 
  • Olive oil is also recommended as a source of vitamin E for older people. It slows down the over-production of acid in the digestive system, thus diminishing the potential for ulcers and other gastro-intestinal problems.

All these benefits notwithstanding, a normal healthy diet should consist of not more than 6 tsp of olive oil, and a weight loss diet not more than 3 tsp per day. Use olive oil to create these light and tasty stir-fries…
