  • Make sure the place selected for the gas cylinder is near your cooking range and is airy and protected from the ground beneath to prevent rusting.
  • Do not remove the protection cap unless the cylinder has been secured against a wall or placed on its stand. 
  • It is wise to transport the cylinder on a trolley or cart rather than dragging it and making the cylinder prone to damages.
  • Clean up all the food that you drop on the pipe while cooking so that the rats don’t chew it up along with the pipe and puncture it.
  • Storing more than two cylinders requires lots of space so return them to the gas company and reduce the risk of an explosion initiated by you.
  • Light the burners the moment you switch them on, the smell emanating is awful plus highly dangerous. Switch off the cylinder every night before going to bed.
